WOW!!  What a great time I had at Nationals this year.  Stoney Brook Dwarfs did very well with all but one placing.  The one that didn't place, well I didn't double check it's sex and I had it entered as a buck when it was really a doe.  Oh well it was a replacement and it wasn't a big deal.  On the front of my home page is the list of how my dwarfs did.  The photo above was my big win BOSG in shaded, boy was that a big surprise.  I would like to congratulate Kristi Rogers for winning BOG and BJOG in agouti.  The junior chestnut doe was out of Stoney Brook's Knockout who goes back to 4L1 who himself was a BOSG winner at Nationals.  Congrats to all the other winners and I would like to say I had a great time meeting new contacts from the states and from abroad.

Wow Dwarf Nationals is almost here!!!!  I have a total of 12 entered, dang!  I had to many nice ones to leave home.  Above is one of my hopefuls, Stoney Brook's Cutie.  She is a black senior doe and has done very well on the show tables this spring.  I am not sure what entries for Nationals will be for sale, I may put a couple up to sell.

The Jacks are doing good and loving that they can go outside and actually feel grass at their feet instead of snow or water.  Phoebe is growing like a weed and full of it.  She loves playing with her parents who can only take so much of her on a daily basis.

I have several new litters in the nestboxes and some more torts to add to what I have already.  I am loving what Stingray is producing in both blacks and torts and I hope to have some torts ready for Convention this fall!!!  I am still waiting for my broken torts to pop up, I am getting closer.

I have lots of yard work to catch up on as well as spring cleaning in both the house and rabbitry.  Boy it never ends!!

Seems like forever since I posted anything on my blog.  I guess I have been buzy with the bad weather and other things.  Above is a photo of the dogs enjoying a nice day out in the snow.

Well all but one of the puppies are gone.  I named them Spencer, Gabby and Phoebe.  I decided to keep Phoebe since she is the one I brought back to life and she is very special to me.  Spencer was Tyras previous owner's pick and he took Gabby for me to help sell her.  Gabby will be heading to Virgina to her new home this coming weekend, I wish them well with their new puppy.  They plan on showing her, so I may see her real soon at Lancaster in May.  Jim plans on showing Spencer even though he too is for sale and I also look forward to seeing how well he does.  I plan on attending the Lancaster Jack Russell Trial in May as I mentioned and plan on showing Winston and Phoebe there.  This will be a new experience for all 3 of us.  I am in the process of getting Winston's registration paperwork done and have scheduled his vet visit so I can get the rest of the paperwork finished so I can send it out.

I have had quite a few litters during our cold spells and since I induce does the night before they are due I lose very few due to the weather.  I have been sorting out my juniors and some are looking like they will be hopefuls for Nationals in April.  Since I have been sorting my herd I have posted quite a few dwarfs for sale on my website, I will have more juniors to post as they develop.

OMG is it cold or what!!!!  I so want spring to get here!!  Luckly I don't have any litters due this week and several that were due next week missed, so that is one good thing.  I need to start preparing for the upcoming show this weekend at Bowling Green, I still have a couple that need tattooed and several others who need their tattoo's touched up.  My himi's are all blowing coat which isn't fun, but the good news is I can't wait for my up and coming to be show ready they are looking really nice.  I am already thinking ahead to Nationals and it looks like I might be able to show a tort or two this year.  I don't think I will have any sable points ready to show at Nationals yet.  I will of coarse have blacks, chestnuts, siamese sables and himis to show there, but  not sure about my brokens yet.

The puppies have grown so much that they look like little dogs and not puppies.  I can't wait for Jim, Winston's breeder to see them in a few weeks to see what he thinks of them.  I and everyone else that sees them says they are very nice.

Wow was there a good turn out at the Lima show.  I heard there were 1900 rabbits there, YIKES!!  I know there were almost 200 dwarfs there.  I placed well with my dwarfs, had some tough competition with the MI breeders coming down to show.  There were some huge classes, 10 black senior bucks, 10 rew senior bucks, 10 siamese sable senior bucks and 19 otter senior bucks.  I placed 2nd in rew, black and siamese sable bucks, so I was pretty happy about that.

Our californians did exceptionally well, Chase won BOS in youth and then won BOB in open against the big boys.  Way to go!!!!

The pups are growing like weeds and getting more active every day.  When I am home I will bring them upstairs to play with me and their parents.  They follow me around and come when I call, they are also eating food very well now.  They definetly have their own personalities and are full of it.
